Interpersonal Effectiveness

Interacting with others is a necessary part of life, and interpersonal effectiveness skills help us navigate the social landscape while maintaining healthy relationships and building self-respect. They teach us to be assertive in asking for what we need or saying “no,” to maintain self respect by being fair to ourselves and others, and to preserve and build relationships, even when there is conflict. Balancing priorities and desires is an important component of being effective. Increasing the quality of interpersonal relationships and the ability to deal with challenging interpersonal interactions is essential for building a live worth living.
